This Privacy Policy explains how Haywards Heath Taxi Guide (\u201cwe\u201d, \u201cus\u201d) collects and uses information when you visit this website. Bookings placed through the booking widget on this site are passed to and processed by XTAXI24 LIMITED as the licensed private hire operator and data controller for ride-related data. 2. What this site collects

This information site itself collects very little. We use:

• Anonymous analytics (page views, device type, referrer, approximate location at city level) so we can understand which guides are useful.
• Cookies set by us and by Google (analytics) and Cloudflare/Firebase (security and performance). See our Cookie Policy for details.
• Server logs kept by our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) for security and abuse prevention.

We do not ask you to create an account on this site. We do not run a newsletter from this site.

3. What happens when you book a taxi

The booking form on this site is an embedded widget served by xtaxi24.com. When you submit a booking, the following data is sent directly to XTaxi24:

• Your name, phone number and email
• Pickup and drop-off addresses (plus any stops)
• Date, time and vehicle preferences
• Approximate location (if you allow your browser to share it) for fare calculation

That data is then handled by XTaxi24 under their Privacy Policy, including being shared with the driver assigned to your ride so they can pick you up.

4. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

• Contract performance \u2014 to process and deliver a booking you place.
• Legitimate interests \u2014 to keep this site secure, prevent fraud and improve our content.
• Consent \u2014 for optional analytics and marketing cookies (you can decline or withdraw consent in the cookie banner).
• Legal obligation \u2014 to keep ride and tax records for the periods required by UK law.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• XTaxi24 Ltd (licensed operator) when you book a ride.
• The driver assigned to your ride (name, phone, pickup) so they can complete the job.
• Service providers we rely on to run the site (Google Firebase for hosting and analytics, Google Maps for address lookup).
• Authorities when required by law (e.g. court order, police request).

6. How long we keep data

• Booking records: 7 years (HMRC requirement, held by XTaxi24).
• Site analytics: 14 months (Google Analytics default).
• Server logs: 30 days.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Email privacy@xtaxi24.com and we will respond within one calendar month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner\u2019s Office (ICO).

8. Children

This site and the booking service are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The \u201clast updated\u201d date above shows when it was last changed.
